Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market buying Mako Marin, Eden Hazard with the likes of Hulk and Gregory van der Wiel potentially on the way, but we still haven’t resolved one very important issue and that’s the question of who will be the manager at Stamford Bridge next season?

Roberto Di Matteo is a favourite amongst the fans as he did a fantastic job since he was promoted to manager on an interim basis last season and won both the FA Cup and Champions League. However, it would seem as his chances of landing the job for next season is dwindling with each passing day.

Many believe that Pep Guardiola is the board’s preferred choice and it’s understandable why as he won 14 trophies during his four-year stint as Barcelona manager, whilst developing a side that is the envy of world football by adding quality as well as producing talent from within. We all know Roman Abramovich can be very persuasive, could he change Pep’s mind about taking a break from football?

There are those that do not rate Pep as they don’t believe he has a Plan B especially after failing to break down Chelsea in the Champions League, but I think that’s just selling our great achievement short. Some also argue that he already possessed a squad that full of world class players and they should be easy to manage, right? Easier, but Andre Villas-Boas couldn’t handle Chelsea after moving from Porto and let’s not forget the hand Pep had in producing the talent at Barca as he rose through the ranks into the manager’s hotseat.

Former England manager Fabio Capello has been linked with the job as well as the bloke who failed to succeed him Harry Redknapp, but I don’t want to see either at Stamford Bridge personally.

Below is a sample of the current names in the betting, who do you think/want to be the next boss at Chelsea and if your favourite is not there then suggest a new name in the comment section below.

Lets give both of them a chance to prove themselves as Guardiola developes young talents and RDM has a plan B.
