Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market buying Mako Marin, Eden Hazard with the likes of Hulk and Gregory van der Wiel potentially on the way, but we still haven’t resolved one very important issue and that’s the question of who will be the manager at Stamford Bridge next season?

Roberto Di Matteo is a favourite amongst the fans as he did a fantastic job since he was promoted to manager on an interim basis last season and won both the FA Cup and Champions League. However, it would seem as his chances of landing the job for next season is dwindling with each passing day.

Many believe that Pep Guardiola is the board’s preferred choice and it’s understandable why as he won 14 trophies during his four-year stint as Barcelona manager, whilst developing a side that is the envy of world football by adding quality as well as producing talent from within. We all know Roman Abramovich can be very persuasive, could he change Pep’s mind about taking a break from football?

There are those that do not rate Pep as they don’t believe he has a Plan B especially after failing to break down Chelsea in the Champions League, but I think that’s just selling our great achievement short. Some also argue that he already possessed a squad that full of world class players and they should be easy to manage, right? Easier, but Andre Villas-Boas couldn’t handle Chelsea after moving from Porto and let’s not forget the hand Pep had in producing the talent at Barca as he rose through the ranks into the manager’s hotseat.

Former England manager Fabio Capello has been linked with the job as well as the bloke who failed to succeed him Harry Redknapp, but I don’t want to see either at Stamford Bridge personally.

Below is a sample of the current names in the betting, who do you think/want to be the next boss at Chelsea and if your favourite is not there then suggest a new name in the comment section below.

Roman is a mad man. Because I don’t see d reason why he won’t give RDM d job. What more does he want? Even d special one couldn’t do what RDM did. He won 2 trophies with a CDC day ppl consider useless, allow him as d coach with dis better players we have nw and see what he will become.

Pep Guardiola is the maan, RDM can retained and handed another good position in CHelsea board just to make sure we always have a back up 🙂 he has done a great job but PEP was consistent so staying around PEP, RDM can learn lot of things which he can implement in future if he ever think to get back to coaching role! wassay Roman??

Robert shuold be allowed to carry on his good work, he has proved himself to the world that he can do what no one else has done in Chelsea for years. Infact the players love him and are willing to work with him to lift the club to a greater hight.

  5. Rdm deserve the job just three month in charge he worn unbilivable trophy 4 us and not like other big name coaches like scolari, grant, ancelloti, and avb dat can not bring what the club need. The players and the fance need Rdm.

I think Abramovich should give RDM two yrs contract deal.since he has delivered him d champions league trophy that he has been pursuing since his arrival in 2003.Many world class managers has work under abramovich without winning the trophy for him.!!UP BLUES!!

Pep guadiola had 12 titles in four years…. Four years is equivalent to 16 3months…in 3month RDM won 2titles…multiply dat by 16 we hav 32titles wich is 20 more than guadiolas…why do we hav to beg 4 help wen help is beggn us…as much as it seems sympathetic to employ RDM I thnk we shud gv hm a chance for a year nd based on hs performance we wud determine if sabbatical returnee would be neccessary…4 al I care jose mourinho is a far beta coach
