Chelsea Player Ratings v FC Nordsjælland:

Petr Cech: 7

Made a world-class save when we were leading by a single goal and those sort of margins change games.

Branislav Ivanovic: 5.5

Made an effort to get forward which is appreciated although ultimately ineffective. Didn’t have one of his better days in defence.

David Luiz: 6

Constantly hoofing the ball up the park, only he knows who he’s aiming for. Terrific free-kick to put us 2-0 up though.

Gary Cahill: 6

A little more solid defensively that his defensive partner but was an average performance from both.

Ashley Cole: 5.5

Similar performance to Ivanovic. Perhaps it’s down to fatigue. Would have liked to see Ryan Bertrand and Cesar Azpilicueta in the side instead.

Ramires: 8

One of the best players in the park and a tireless work-rate. Had more than his fair share of defensive duties to attend to in John Obi Mikel’s absence.

Frank Lampard: 5

Assisted Juan Mata for the opener but is still guilty of the awful habit of abandoning his central midfield position and we were overrun in midfield through most of the second half. It’s games like these when you realise how much work Mikel does there and how important he is.

Victor Moses: 6

He offers something different and has great pace about him, but there’s no end product there at the moment and this is something he must work on. Did ok.

Juan Mata: 8.5

My man of the match not only for his two goals, but his all-round game. He knows when to keep the ball, when to give it and we’re blessed to have a talent like his in the side.

Oscar: 7

He always seems to show plenty of classy touches and makes his decision quickly. He’s had better games in a Chelsea shirt but he works his socks off and linked well with Ramires for the third goal.

Fernando Torres: 6.5

Didn’t find the net tonight and probably should have done as he missed three golden opportunities. Seemed to live offside for most of the first half, but put the work in an played a part in the goals.

Eden Hazard: 6

John Obi Mikel: 5

…But that’s just my opinion. What did you think of tonight’s match and how would you rate our performance?

What game were you watching, Lampard was superb with
terrific passing and never giving the ball away.He put the ball
on a plate for Mata for the opener. You want Lampard to play
defensive against the Danish minnows, get real. Oscar is a
terrific player and is pure class.I would have liked to have seen
Aspilicuata because we really need a better RB than Ivanovic.

I agree with U especially with that of david luiz. He keep doing that and I keep counting it for him. today he never got one right just like the last match. And it piss me off cos it seems RDM is not talking to them (him). Its all about discipline. I hate to compare, but the likes if the special one will not allow U to loose possesion like 5time on the long balls before substituting U.
    Else david is good.
Then #Torres… 4goals nd he’s not named. United scored twice and the striker made it. Torres refuse to shoot even when the the gods say ‘shoot’. Some how am loosing patience and I have tried. Imagine RVP or drogba leading the attack in front of those creative minds. It will rain goals
    Wheew!!!
    God bless Roman,
    God Bless Chelseafc.

Thank u for ur wonderful comment, mikel is a good player and whenever his nit in that midfield chelsea find it difficult to adopt to the game. For me let lampard go .

    • Yemi says:

Lamp is nt useless.he has really done well.moses didnt perform up to expectation.but with time,he will blend.if not for lamp’s accurate pass,we would have played a goaless first half.

  6. mcnumec says:

Good performance from cnelsea players. Ramires, Mata, Oscar were fantastic. Not much we could see frm Lampard hence thoseDanish guys overran our midfield. Up blues.

  7. Yusuff says:

they all played well, RDM realy know the right subtitution to make, bringin in Hazard totally boot the connection in the attack so goal started coming, Mikel is like a mashal in our midfield, he actually dictate the tempo and rythem of our game. You are a good observer for all you wrote but you should have rate Hazard too, is coming in really make sence.

  8. Up blues,up lampard.lampard z gud miflder esp wit d lyk of oscar, mata n hazard u can never predict wit d score line wil b til 90min.he as safe d blue well he deserve d honor.blues 4 lyf

Torres we have today is a photocopy compare to Torres in red jersey. We bought him and failed to come along with his manual in front of the goal post. So,Torres operates without manual mentally.Mikel is the man in the middle. With Ramires, the mid-field is ours but he need to score goals at least 5 in a season. Did chelsea buy Marin and Azpilicueta for fancy? Are they still with us? We need to see them play please.
