The media claimed that Victor Moses was to sign for Chelsea during the week ahead of our Community Shield clash against Manchester City tomorrow, which didn’t materialise, but the Daily Mirror are sure that he will eventually sign for us soon after weeks of negotiations.

The tabloid claims that Wigan chairman Dave Whelan will allow the 21-year-old to join the FA Cup and Champions League winners at Stamford Bridge for around £9 million, so all that’s left to sort out would be personal terms as well as a medical.

It is a move that could provide a great opportunity for the Nigerian forward who will be keen to impress in London, the city he in which he started his career with Crystal Palace, and hopefully he will have a successful time should he join us. Every signing is a risk and I’ve seen many say that they hope he’s not the next Shaun Wright-Phillips, who promised much but delivered little, although Moses doesn’t come with quite the same price-tag.

Somebody is obviously a big fan of Moses at Chelsea though and they must have been impressed with the performances he gave towards the end of last season. We’ve been chasing him all summer and the press have persistently commented that Roberto Di Matteo is a huge fan of the youngster.

Chelsea will play their first game of the Premier League season against Wigan at the DW Stadium on Sunday the 19th of August.

In other news, the Mirror also claims that Spain and Marseilles right-back Cesar Azpilicueta is next on the agenda as Chelsea plan ‘make-or-break’ talks for the player on Monday.

How do you rate Chelsea’s signings so far this season and would you be happy to see the likes of Moses and Azpilicueta join them?

pls.Cavani will be a flop he can not manage 2 score even just one goal in the olympics,go 4 young striker like mario Gotze or marco Rues either of them will does CHS good

  3. tolu Onifade says:

@Olathomas, so cavani is a flop cos he scored no goal in Olympics. So I guess spain won’t win 2014 world cup cos they they did not score in olympics. Ur comment is a JOKE.

  4. williams says:

With moses deal almost done, I think we are good to go. Moses will make RDM to have numerous options upfront. Spending hug on cavani will be lavishing. Sturridge is a good lad too, just that he need to listen and do as told. With torres, sturridge and moses, we don’t need cavani. I really believe in Victor Moses and I do pray he ‘d deliver.
    God bless chelseafc.

Welcome 2 chelsea family. As ur name implies, u r d 1 to take us 2 d promised land. And 4 some of our fans who says 9m is too much, do not knw wat moses is capable of. If lukaku costs us up to 18m, den moses should b around 22-25m, cos moses is far better dan him. But we’ve got him 4 half lukaku’s fee and u guys r complaining. Moses I wish u gud luck at chelsea

What’s all these abou Cavani? Why is there nobody talking about FALCAO? IMO, he is better than Cavani and may not be costlier. Besides he is a big game winner like Drogba and has more silverware than Cavani.
