It has been suggested that Chelsea are to ditch their plans to sign Hulk as Porto aren’t budging on their valuation of the player and the Blues will turn their attentions elsewhere, but they could be using links to Radamel Falcao and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as a ploy to force Porto to rethink their negotiation strategy.

Chelsea are keen to bolster their attacking options and Hulk remains their number one target but I don’t believe they have ruled out the likes of the aforementioned, only Falcao is off limits according to Atletico Madrid. Huntelaar failed to make much of an impression in La Liga or Serie A but it would seem as though he found his form in the Bundesliga by scoring 29 goals in 32 matches last season, could he bring that sort of form into the Premier League and with a minimum release clause of £17m, could it be a bargain?

However, despite being available at a good price, Huntelaar cannot play in the wider positions as Hulk does so would more than likely be cover for Fernando Torres if he’s signed. We do need another forward though as Didier Drogba has left, Romelu Lukaku is likely to go out on loan, Daniel Sturridge has only a year left and is reportedly unhappy, so it may be smarter to cash in on him whilst we can. Also, Torres has not shown enough to inspire complete faith and I have my doubts over him being the forward we need/deserve.

Edinson Cavani is also set to leave Napoli and he’s been linked with the Stamford Bridge club in the past. Could Porto’s hand be forced with all this talk of us looking at other forwards? The club want the player and the player wants the club, I’m still certain that this deal will go through but we’ll have to wait and see.

I ‘ll like to see hulk join us but i’ll hate him joining us for £38million because he is not worth it. Many fans are underrating Moses but that guy is going to be a fantastic buy. He is a one on one specialist and very strong.

Yesterday Hulk signed Chelsea jersey for a fan; he followed Mata, Hazard & thanked Chelsea fans on twitter; he has been omitted by Porto in their next season preparations; Porto’s keeper said y’day that loosing Hulk is a big blow to Porto, Hulk has clearly stated its either Chelsea or Porto…Conlusion: Chelsea have tabled a bid for Hulk which is reasonable but Porto wud want more & hence wish for bidding war but the desire of Hulk to play for Chelsea has forced their hands. I can say for sure that Hulk will be Chelsea player come July(twitter @sethaadusei)

Another issue which has kept the deal delayed is the 3rd party interest which is frowned upon by the F.A but Hulk agent’s (Theodoro Fonseca) fee has been sorted out by Chelsea. One thing Chelsea fans should be happy about is that 1. Hulk wants to play for Chelsea with his close pal David Luiz. 2. Roman & the board are keen to bring their long time target to the club finally. 3. RDM is aware of Hulk’s talent via AVB & he knows securing Hulk will be a massive boost to the club & his long term stay as manager. Hulk is in the class of his own & on a good day he can secure victory on his own. I have followed Hulk for 3 years now, his talent is unreal, his free kicks are thunderbolt & he shoots accurately from long range. The 100 million Euros were not inserted by Porto for nothing. Last year Porto president (Pinto Da Costa) said he wont swap Hulk for CR7 & I know why because Hulk is unreal according to Dunga
