The chase for Romelu Lukaku has been something of a saga as the Belgian, dubbed the ‘new Drogba’ has been courted by many of Europe’s top, but it could all come to a head some as the player is keen to have his future sorted by Monday.
Lukaku, 18, said:
“It is going to be one of the top two or three in England – or else I stay in Anderlecht.”
I have heard that the forward may have a ‘minor injury’ and has been pulled out of the Belgian squad to play Turkey on Friday, which is convenient with news that an arrival at Stamford Bridge in the offing.
Assuming this deal goes through, would you be happy with Lukaku and what do you expect from him in future?
Guys I have read somewhere that we are gonna buy Lukaku and De bruyn and loan them to anderlecht for an year, so then we have Torres, Drogba, Sturridge and Neymar as strikers. I doubt Anelka, Kalou and Malouda gonna be at the Bridge.
i believe he will do very well but drogba should go.
I think Neymar/Aguero on of dem is the only parter 4 Torres bt not lukaku we’ave a plenty of striker playn in the same position of Torres! If chelsea wants 2 see torres value(£50) then chelsea should sign either Aguero o Neymar 2 play as 2nd striker behind torres! N Modric o Pastore 2 play no.8 as attacking midfielder while Sanchez n Mata/hazard play the wingers role!
I agree with Jack Jones above and have, as no doubt has he, been crying for it for seasons…..creativity and productivity:quality supply we’ve not had since Robben and Duff. Having said that, Lukaku looks the part; seen the footage and yes he’d be great but to fit him into the squad, defo bye bye Kalou and Anelka, as we must take Sturridge back and even then, perhaps as the direct replacement for Drogs if we get Neymar. Think Drogs should stay thou but 11mil from AC sounds good, if so then a squad choice of; Torres/Sturridge/Lukaku and Neymar- they’ll all score buckets if we get the supply….if

with the like of drogba torres,all we need now is a skilful winger such as neymar and sanchez.with a gud mildfilder(pastore/modric)blue 4 real.
Lukaku is not what Chelsea need. Lukaku is an opportunist striker like Drogba and Torres. Why would Chelsea buy what they have? Chelsea needs a CREATIVE striker: one that attacks from the midfield and creates chances for the others. Neymar has these skills. He is good at breaking down defences, and providing perfectly weighted through-balls. He could work well with Torres or Drogba.
I avnt seen him play b4 bt I think anelka & malouda shuld leave,drog cnt leave dis season cos he knws us beta dan torres & we didnt knw weda torres will still b struggling!
I d0nt fink it is a must to buy lukaku, but a must to buy neymar,aguero, n 2 lovely wingers dat can break defences. And lets play benay0un instead of lampard,bc0s benayoun has m0re attacking instinct dan lamps(he is getting old)

Instead of getting lukaku for 30mil we should go for the likes of neymar,aguero,pastore,mata,marin,sanchez,adam johnson..players who can make us change our dry and slow style of play.we should try our best nd make sure we get 3 of all dis aformentioned players.CHELSEA TILL PORTSMOUTH WINS THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
