Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has expressed an ambition to win the Ballon d’Or – but realises that the “football aliens” Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will take some beating.

Hazard scooped PFA Player of the Year for a dazzling 2014-15 campaign, helping the Blues to Premier League and Capital One Cup glory under Jose Mourinho.

The Belgian, 24, has now turned his attention toward the world’s most coveted individual prize but, with Messi and Ronaldo sharing the accolade for the past eight years, Hazard acknowledges that he has a fight on his hands to break that stronghold.

“It’s always been my dream. When I arrived at Lille’s training camp, I told my mentor – Jean-Michel Vandamme – that I’d win the Ballon d’Or one day,” he told L’equipe.

“When I was little, that was all I ever thought about. The more I progress as a player, the more I tell myself that it’s possible.

“Unfortunately, there are two football aliens playing at the moment and it will be very tough to beat them. But that’s what I’m working for.”

Can Hazard win it one day? Let us know below.

Of course, is possible, he just have to be astute tactical and also elevate his style of play by scoring more goals, if not Neyma will be one step ahead of him ( hazard )
