Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that Eden Hazard ‘undoubtedly’ deserves to claim the PFA Player of the Year award this season.

The Belgian schemer has been in fine form for the Blues since August as Mourinho’s side close in on a Premier League title to add to their League Cup triumph last month.

The 24-year-old is odds-on favourite to scoop the award, but Spurs hitman Harry Kane and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez could provide stiff competition.

However, Mourinho was unequivocal in his assertion that Hazard has been the stand-out player this season.

“I think what he’s doing, speaking in a very honest way, it shouldn’t even be a debate,” he told reporters.

“If somebody throws other names on the table, it’s because he wants to sell papers, wants to throw some sand into people’s eyes, because this player (Hazard) is by far the best player in the Premier League all season.”

hazard is the rightful owner of that award there is no need of debate merits it even all time last season.

    • Alexis No.1 says:

Alexis = more goals, more assists, less games, no penalties to boost goals, 1st season in England, no diving.

      Enough said.

Im a fan of hazard but to say that it shouldn’t be a debate is ridiculous. We’re not comparing hazard to messi here. That i can say won’t be a debate. But sanchez has been just as good as hazard this season, though sanchez’s form dipped a little bit. Apart from his goals, harry kane shouldn’t even be on that list.

Harzard tried a lot buh to b sincere I wil gv it to Sanchez bcos dis is his first season,he has more goals and Assist than Harzard so nothing to complain about

I hate Chelsea but Hazard has been playing consistently great football and deserves to be favourite for the honour.
Sanchez’ form has dropped considerably (in my opinion) – although still a great player (my opinion again).
Kane has been a tremendous find this year and I love the passion he displays but is not at Hazard’s level (yet).
    Disclaimer: Spurs fan.

It is funny when I see people saying a lot of things about this but understandable because we are different human and have our different view but for me Hazard is at the class of Messi and CR7 and his the best in EPL and should be the PFA player of the year.

  6. Raf says:

Mourhino is a brilliant manager but his problem is delusion. He can’t see anything positive in a rival team hence his statement above. its possible he has not even bothered to read the stats for sanchez. He is the equivalent of michael owen in that respect.

  7. clement says:

Sanchez is an outstanding player in england so far who else you can’t even compare him with hazard that’s an insult look at the way these two perfemed on international duties which one perfomed better hazard is a player for the club not on international duty while sanchez is a tool both on international duty and for the club as well.

funny you, is pfa an international award or an award for those that played in EPL… You should given it to cr7 or messi. 😎

  8. olopade mifdal says:

Eden has most successful dribble, most fouled player, most passes completed, most goal chances created, even much more than Bale and Suarez that won it 2 and a year ago respectively… Judge without sentiment

    • Dumb Olo says:

Funny how your stats don’t include Goals scored or Assists – which Alexis BEATS Hazard by a mile.
Most fouled player???? You want him to win because he’s the most fouled player? Hilarious.

  9. Ayomidhe says:

Sanchez is far better dan hazard koz he drible less nd score more goals nd assist dan hazard being d 4st tym in premier league with a great form….xo 4 me he deserve pfa of d year
