Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has revealed that he will NOT retire from football this summer.
Drogba, 37, is coming to the end of his glittering career and, with his contract up in the summer, it was touted that he would hang up his boots.
The Ivorian received praise from manager Jose Mourinho for the way in which he led the line in the 1-0 win over QPR, with Diego Costa and Loic Remy both sidelined.
Fans were less much complimentary, however, and it was suggested that his career was fizzling out, but asked whether or not he had considered retirement, he said: “Yes I have and it’s not going to be my last season.”
Good news or bad news? Let us know below.
It’s a very good news for both Chelsea FC and their fans
Please let Didier leave is time over at Chelsea, lets give the younger one,s a chance to show their talent. Drogba rught now at Chelsea is just a statue because he has nothing in him to proof again please is time for u to leave
I concur with the first comment made, Drogba is not as sharp as before. As for me a good actor should please leave the stage when the ovation is too high. For real Diidi has contributed his quota under the blues t-shirt sincerely he has nothing to prove now rather than making up the number eleven in the field
This is the right time for drogba to leave, because he does’nt have anything positive to offer the blues again, despite the fact that he is a legend.
King didier pls retire because u are tired we ll miss you tho.
pls let leave drogba bcos is too old, and let give d young ones the chance to shine.
Pls Drogba Go And Rest
