Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has tipped the ‘unstoppable’ Eden Hazard to scoop the Player of the Year award for his heroics with Chelsea this season.
Hazard is enjoying his best ever season for the West Londoners in the individual stakes, with the 24-year-old winger scoring in Sunday’s 3-2 win at Hull to bring his total for the season to 17 in all competitions.
The Belgian’s importance to the title-chasing Blues has arguably grown in recent months, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Oscar and Diego Costa struggling to replicate their early-season form in 2015.
Consequently, Henry, a two-time winner of the award, wants to see Hazard named Player of the Year as he inspires Chelsea to Premier League success.
“On his day, nobody can stop him. He has such great quality on the ball; he can create something from nothing and that is a sign of a special player,” he told Sky Sports when asked who he believes should win it.
