Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for out-of-favour Chelsea striker Loic Remy as manager Alan Pardew eyes a summer reunion, according to reports.

Remy joined the Blues in August for a reported £10 million after a failed medical scuppered a switch to Liverpool earlier in the transfer window.

However, the 28-year-old has played second fiddle to Diego Costa all season long, with the in-form Spain international limiting his French counterpart to just three Premier League starts.

Consequently, the former QPR striker is growing frustrated with a shortage of first-team chances and Palace will offer an escape route, according to The Daily Star.

Pardew brought Remy to Newcastle United in a season-long loan which saw him net 14 goals in 26 Premier League outings last term.

The West Londoners may be tempted to sell but will not accept a loss on their initial £10m investment, meaning the Eagles will need to break their transfer record for the second time in a year.

Remy, who has five goals in all competitions this season, one less than third-choice forward Didier Drogba, is under contract until 2018.

I dont buy the idea of selling out loic remy to the egles bcos the eagles are one team that trouble chelsea so much.Either remy stay at chelsea or he goes to another club outside england.

why not if they can get good replacement they can sell Remy and find a better striker.

Chelsea need a good striker this time around we can’t put all our hope on Diego Costa is a aggresive person which in not good, you can be aggresive on the pitch and you want to deliver it can’t possible so chelsea need a good striker.

  5. Ayodele says:

Cfc should try and give him may be 2matchs to play in a 90minit let see if he can perform better before they sell him out first.

  6. John Chelsea says:

If he can’t be given enough chance to prove himself then, chelsea should waste no time in selling him to avoid killing the young man career.
Secondly selling him will free space for chelsea to bring in another striker of Jose choice.
