Frank Lampard celebrates his goal v NorwichChelsea will name a new manager in the summer and it’s anyone’s guess as to who that could be at this stage but the club will be keen to avoid the mistakes of the past and provide their next coach with a clean slate, and the Daily Mail believe that as many as nine players are set for the exit doors.

The West London club are also keen to offload a number of squad members, with financial fair play in mind, to make room for new additions this summer by trimming the hefty wage bill.

Frank Lampard (worst kept secret this season), Fernando Torres (good luck finding a buyer), Florent Malouda, Michael Essien, Yossi Benayoun, Marko Marin, Paulo Ferreira, Henrique Hilario and Jeffrey Bruma are the players that the Daily Mail believe to be leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

A lot depends on the players returning from their respective loan spells as the likes of Kevin De Bruyne & Patrick van Aanholt may have a crack at the first team whereas Thibaut Courtois will stay in Madrid for another year and I reckon Romelu Lukaku will be keen to keep playing regular football and will be loaned out for at least one more season.

I for one would like to see the young players given more chances and we can only do this in a stable environment with a manager that is trusted as well as given time to do his job. For example, I’d rather see De Bruyne on the bench than Benayoun or see the likes of van Aanholt/Ryan Bertrand given a real shot at Ashley Cole’s spot next season.

Who do you think should be moved on during the summer and which area do you think are in most need of strengthening?

I think that Lukaku should be our striker next season. He has proven that with game time he can be quality and with our team behind him he would be hitting at least 20 goals a season. We could have one of the best strikers in the world up front for the next 10 years if we give him a chance.
I also feel that Lampard should go. Iv been a Chelsea fan my whole life and have nothing but love for him, but if we want to win, and be able to bring in new talent, it is time for him to move on. United proved that, he was a bit too slow on the ball and sitting deeper he doesnt get back enough which limits us. He will be a Chelsea legend forever and I really pray that he beats the record because that will be a great legacy to leave on.

Ba (not good enough) Lampard (past it now) Mikel (never had it) Malouda (Pointless Ferreira, Hilario an Turnbull (Gametime) Ivanovic (Need a solid Cb with Luiz moving to midfield) Cole (Overpaid and Baines is better) Essien (Wanyama or Fellaini as replacements) Torres (I don’t need a to say!) Benitez (Klopp ideal please please no mourinho!!)

Out: Torres, Benayoun, Lampard, Malouda, Ferreira, Essien, Turnbull, Marin

    In: Etienne Capoue and Lewandowski

Bring back: Lukaku, De Bruyne, Piazon

I just saved £30mil or £40mil on our wage bill and made us title contenders again.

Lewandowski would be first choice, with a rested Lukaku beeing used at his full potential for 30 minutes in most matches. Ba would be third choice.
