660x350-DeadlineDayGeneric_2893104The lack of depth at Stamford Bridge has been bemoaned by the Chelsea faithful as well as the much maligned Rafael Benitez but I don’t expect the club to be active in the remaining hours of the transfer window.

We’re suffering in a number of areas at the moment as John Terry hasn’t match fitness following his injury, Eden Hazard is suspended and subject to a FA charge which could see his ban extended, John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses are away on international duty, David Luiz and Petr Cech have suffered knocks and we’re forced to pair the same two players in our weakest area in central midfield.

There’s also an over reliance on Juan Mata who is the man that generally wins us matches and it has proven increasingly difficult to rest him as the backup just aren’t good enough. But there’s nothing even Mata could do about our Achilles heel, the pivot, which cannot win or hold the ball when it’s called upon and our defence gets overrun which leads to opportunities for our opponents.

I don’t expect we will see any moves to remedy the issue as we would need to clear room in terms of salary and we’re stuck with Yossi Benayoun as he cannot play for a third club in one season, Florent Malouda will remain in exile and the club has failed to find a new home for him and I don’t see Marko Marin going out on loan at this stage – we will have to live with what we have, unfortunately.

The only rumours surrounding the club of late have been moves for Jack Butland and even Asmir Begovic but there’s no real logic behind signing a goalkeeper that won’t play, if we do sign a player then it has to be a midfielder. We’ve been linked with a big money move for Marouane Fellaini but I don’t see this one happening until the summer, but there is quality out there and Etienne Capoue would be a good and affordable option, Benat Etxebarria is another option, whilst a move for Joao Moutinho is a must if the Portuguese midfielder becomes available.

What are you expecting from Chelsea this transfer deadline day and what areas of the team would you like to see strengthened should we make additions?

I don’t see any reason we’ll be having our £50m flop starting all matches for us. Perhaps our coach is a man of sentiment,so because Demba Ba is from Africa and he’s not a sparniard that’s why our coach decided not to use him for some important matches in which our flop has failed us, what a shame BENITEZ.

    • Anthony Williams says:

Ba has to play more, especially as he cannot play in the Europa League

  6. Dotman-Luiz says:

The only thing we ought to be praying for is the top four qualification, we can’t win any medal this season, let’s forget it. But we’ll never forgive BENITEZ if things goes wrong for us.

This is the deadline day of the transfer window, Chelsea need at least 2 new signings today, and they are Paulinho from Corinthians and Asmir Begovic from Stoke city. Ross Turnbull is not improving at all, he’s not a good goalkeeper.

    • Anthony Williams says:

Don’t need a goalkeeper at all. Cech won’t miss enough games to warrant spending millions on one.

  8. Dotman-Luiz says:

Concerning our coach, we don’t have any other option than to manage him till the summer. The man to take his post is JOSE MOURINHO, he’s the right man for the job, if we don’t get him the only man to take it is DAVID MOYES, if we don’t get any of them, meeeehhhhnn! We’re deceiving ourselves.

    • Anthony Williams says:

Hiddink is my personal favourite, not a short term impact man as Jose is in fairness. Moyes is an interesting one though, he’d also be my second option as there’s no chance of Klopp.

Mourinho isn’t for us at this time. Need a builder with a long term vision and as much as I appreciate the time he was here, he causes problems and tends to leave a mess in his wake.

We still love CHELSEA FC, but we need changes…

Blame Abrahamovich, blame Benitez and of course, blame the misfiring Torress for Chelsea’s. woes this season. As for new addition, I think Fellaini will be a good buy.
