1. Defensive concerns:

We defended horribly, especially in the early stages, during yesterday’s game and it isn’t the first time we’ve looked shaky there this season as David Luiz is guilty of the sublime as well as the ridiculous and Ashley Cole is either in need of a rest or a kick up the backside as he’s been woeful in the last two or three games.

2. Juan Mata is the league’s form player:

Once again Mata put in a terrific display for Chelsea as his free-kick and varied passing range help Chelsea comeback from a two-goal deficit against United. In my opinion he’s the best performer in the league at the moment and his displays have been a lot better than David Silva and Santi Cazorla, two players he’s often compared to.

3. Resilience:

As Mata has recently blogged about on the Chelsea website, this team just doesn’t give up and our attacking trio of Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard are proving vital to our chances, whilst we have a world-class keeper and a hard-working midfield duo, all we need to do now is sort of the defence and maybe bring in a consistent forward (easier said than done, I know).

4. Officiating isn’t good enough:

In one weekend we’ve seen incredibly straightforward decisions going the wrong way in the cases of Mikel Arteta’s goal for Arsenal, Javier Hernandez’s against us and Luis Suarez’s effort was incorrectly chalked off by the linesman. Mark Clattenburg also sent off Torres on a hunch and failed to deliver the same fate to Wayne Rooney for an obvious foul which was recognised by the ref but not deemed worthy of a yellow card. In the interests of fairness and the sport itself, this isn’t good enough.

5. It’s okay to antagonise the opposition fans as long (as you don’t take your shirt off):

Is it just me or is it crazy that it is an automatic yellow card for taking your shirt off (apparently this act may cause crowd unrest) or celebrating in amongst your own fans, yet it’s absolutely fine for Javier Hernandez to goad the Chelsea fans by celebrating in front of them whilst Patrice Evra yells ‘bring it on’ towards them? I know there’s many talking points to this but why hasn’t this obvious act of inciting crowd trouble picked up on?

Still feeling shell-shocked after Sunday’s events and I know that nothing is going to change the result, so Roberto Di Matteo’s men will just have to use the sense of injustice to spur them on ahead of a busy winter period. We’re still top of the league, onwards and upwards.

This is what has not been bought up Hernandez and Evra insulting the Chelsea Fans .
Im sure if Mata had taunted the United fans he would be facing suspension .
Even today Ferguson is still claiming United always get cheated at the Bridge .

Stop bleating! Yes there were a lot of poor decisions but fistly ivanovic was a red by the rules although i dont think there was anything malicious in his challenge. Torres though should have been sent off earlier for a disgusting challenge on cleverly. Unlike torres though cleverly got up and got on with it. If torres did the same later instead of rolling around like he’d been shot he may have stayed on the pitch. Next , the linesman was at fault for the hernandez winner not the ref. United should have had a penalty for hand ball by the fantastic luiz. Valencia should never have got a card as he never dived, he collided into the back of the defender. The ref felt he had to be seen to do that. Chelsea have had over the years there fair share of dodgy decisions in their favour againt united so it’s about time wehad a bit of luck. I agree that torres sending off was harsh as we know players dont get free kicks unless they go down but he should never have been on the pitch by that point anyway. Fact is none of our players commited fouls that deservered straight reds. Two of yours did but only one was correctly punished. So to conclude you got off lightly.
whilst i’m on here how come so many of your scummy fans think it’s ok to boo a player for been the brother of a man who was racially abused by your club captain. Unbelivable. Before your club chucks around accusations of racism at anyone they should sort there own problems out. John terry should have been sacked. You know we would all be sacked in the real world for the same offence.

    • Saad says:

Shut up or the next thing you will say is that pigs fly.

      • andrew says:

Pigs did fly yesterday mate. Refs decisions went for united against chelsea. Thats the closest thing to flying pigs for a long time. You carry on supporting john terry matey!

    • Anthony Williams says:

My problem was with the second dismissal, Andrew. Previously said I don’t agree with Ivanovic’s dismissal in terms of common sense and chance Luiz was in cover, but can accept it because he was the last man and did touch Young. Not the issue.

In relation to your second point, Torres could have gone for kicking ‘cleverly’ aka Cleverley. Isn’t this just another example of the officiating not being good enough?

And finally, Rio has never been liked by the Chelsea fans (he’s played for West Ham, dirty Leeds and United) and whilst we all know your fans would love to portray it how you like, Rio was charged for endorsing a racist comment made towards one of our players and booed.

I find it incredible and saddening that you’d end the point as you have. If Mikel has been racially abused then he’s the victim and his abuser deserves to be punished. Whilst innocence should be presumed until proven guilty, to say Chelsea are merely ‘throwing around accusations’ on a whim is an outrageous comment.

Thanks for the spelling lesson. I appreciate that. You’d have a field day with my grammer on here too if you wanted to be extra pedantic.
The tweet which ferdinand endorsed referred to cole as a “choc ice” i believe. I fail to see how this is racist. Ok he is pointing out that ashley cole is a black man which is true. The term choc ice is referring to the fact that he is taking the side of a white man in a racist attack upon a blackman. After the hundereds of years of oppression the negro race has suffered at the hands of the white man i think rio is totally within his rights to be angered by ashley coles stance in the whole sad affair. It is possible to refer to colour without been racist. He didn’t call him an f***ing black c**t now did he? Why? Because that would have been racist. That was the fa not having any real understanding of racism and it’s history and clearly you don’t either.
I would agree of course that if the ref is guilty of these accisations then he should never be allowed near a football pitch again and be crimanally prosecuted. What i’m saying though is mikel and cole should be more concerned about what there “great leader” john terry says about black people when they are not in earshot. The stance here is that good old johnny can say what he wants. I think it’s called selective hearing.
Your fans never booed rio in the same manner or with the same venom before the”great leader” racially abused anton.
And finally you never wrote an artical about poor officials when they handed you the title.
Carry on supporting john terry. Your club were made for him.

      • andrew says:

Forgot to mention also: how do you explain away the chants aimed at anton ferdinand of ” you know what you are!” we know what you are chelsea fc and we know what you are john terry! Stop trying to defend your club and fans stance on the race issue. It is totally indefensable.

I am suprised that united fans are still talking trash instead of admiting they dont have a team to face chelsea. What FA and co are doing is promoting discrimination i mean racism. That single game has brought a lot of controversies everywhere. Racism wont stop with the way FA is handling EPL giving too much power to ManU and Ferguson, its total nonsense.have they forgotten the reason football came to be? Initially to promote friendship but now for money. I see u triggering another war through sentiment. Shame, let the good football be played whoever that wins let it be

  4. timbo says:

Are you people serious? It’s amazing how short – or convenient – memories are when it comes to dirty play and officiating, especially in games involving United at Stamford Bridge. Need I remind you that it was lousy officiating that essentially handed you the title a few seasons ago at home to United? Or that your glorious ten year run at home against United had as much to do with some appalling refereeing as it did with Chelsea’s play? And have you forgotten how Luiz introduced himself to United during his first season by going on a head-hunting mission that should have earned him at least two red cards? Or that in Terry, Ballack, and a few others you’ve had some of the worst cheats in the game over the last 5 – 6 years? This is the team who’s captain, need they be reminded, had the unmitigated gall to snatch a red card out of a referee’s hand – he should have been banned for the game for a month or two for such cynical disregard for officiating, yet completely got away with his behavior. And Chelsea have been the standard bearers for years, led by their odious and cynical captain, of harassing and bullying referees en masse when things don’t go their way – notice how the team was up to its usual behavior yesterday, with the referee having to hand out a yellow card for dissent?

I’m as fair-minded as they come where football is concerned, and don’t have any problem stating that you got dudded yesterday by some questionable decisions, but give us a break! Over the last decade Chelsea have clearly had the best run when it comes to questionable refereeing, so take it on the chin when it runs the other way for a change.

It’s like the whining about the Torres red card – instead of moaning about it being a poor decision, you should count on you luck for the fact that he didn’t get sent off earlier for what was clearly a red card offense that he blatantly got away with. So instead of losing him when you did, figure on the bonus of having kept him on the pitch during Chelsea’s comeback period.

As for Rooney, if you seriously think he should have been sent off then you’re total hypocrites for not also considering the fact the studs up hit on Evra’s ankle earlier should have also elicited a red card.

Take off the blinkers, because Fergie was right. United have ALWAYS been shafted as often as not by the officiating at Stamford Bridge, and if you weren’t such one-eyed supporters you’d know exactly what I’m talking about. You’ve had two of your titles more or less decided by dodgy officiating at home to United, so stop your whining. There probably wasn’t a United fan on the planet who didn’t jump up yesterday and say ‘FINALLY!’ as far as seeing a bad decision go the other way for a change.

    • Anthony Williams says:

If you can deny that the referee’s performance was shocking then you’re the blinkered one.

I didn’t accuse officials always siding with United or Chelsea always being shafted, but you’re arguing the opposite as if I did and this is an admission that you’re the deluded and paranoid one.

    • tobadaniel says:

@timbo or whateva, you are seriously deluded. The same match you refering to,Macheda scored United goal with his hands,u didnt mention that u editted that fact from it. Yesterday officiating was poor pure and simple. Arsenal and Chelsea have played this season how did you see the game? Classic it was,no error,no mistakes from the referee. I know United and FA couldnt afford Chelsea to go 7 point clear at the top cos they know the consequence. Welldone, continue, the day shall surely come when fans shall be trooped in numbers unto the field of play protesting and showing their frustration if FA fail to do the simple thing now. I can see that FA have personal hatered for Chelsea because if it were to be chelsea player that went to jubilate in front of United fans am sure by now the player must have been suspended. Imagine the John Terry case that he had affair with x Wayne Bridge girl friend,x for that matter imagine how english press handles it because it was CFC,same not even same the worse happened to Ryan Giggs who after had affair with the lady, beat her also in public, how many United fans even heard of it? Stop being biased to one club and stop making the other superior.we undstand that ManU is FA CLUB but then please stop offending the masses, let good football be played and stop planting referees to ruin matches.

    4. Officiating isn’t good enough:

Err ya and Torres shouldn’t have even been on the pitch after his 1st half shoulder high kick on Cleverley.

    • Anthony Williams says:

Isn’t this just an example of the officiating not being good or are you just incredibly simple?

  6. Alex says:

torres first tackle looked bad but both went in with there feet raised torres was just later and deserved only a yellow. Invanovic red was fair enough a kind ref could of said luiz was covering. As for the torres “dive” Torres beat Evans to the ball Evans went in with two feet and lunged and made contact with him with torres. Torres avoided it as he didnt want his leg broken.

    • andrew says:

Look at that jonny evans tackle again mate. Yes it’s poor and yes he made minimal contact. Both feet need to be off the ground for it to be 2 footed. Your eyes are making things up for you. He has clearly got one foot grounded. There is no danger in this tackle. Whats wrong with you people ? Making things up to support a blatent act of cowardice. If there is ever a 50/50 challenge torres always pulls out and dives. He is a weak player. No bravery. May have been a little harsh but on the whole justice was done for the cleverly challenge. Torres went for the man there and not the ball. Carry on supporting john terry.

      • tobadaniel says:

@Andrew,all i want to tell you is that evans was supposed to be sent off either Torres fall or not, there was contact, and when that happens,if i like i go on if i like i go to grand as far there is contact. Rooney was also supposed to be sent off yestday for fouling Ashley cole. United players are the best divers in EPL, Welbeck,Rooney, Ashley young just to mention a few. So what are you talking about? You are a cheat ManU

  7. Archu Abuchi says:

Lets save our breath here cuz they did it agaist lvpool now chelsea, the did have been done but for man united they will surely reap what they sow oneday cuz God is watching

Of course mate. United are god’s team. He’s bound to be watching.

  8. tobadaniel says:
