There has been intense speculation surrounding Internacional’s Oscar, who is reportedly close to a £25 million move to Stamford Bridge, but the player has denied any formal offer despite being aware of the interest shown in him by a number of European clubs.

The 20-year-old told Brazilian newspaper Globo:

“I do not know news about Chelsea.

“I know that some European clubs are interested in me but I have spoken with the president, Giovanni Luigi, and he insists that they still have not received any formal offer.”

Andre Villas-Boas’ Tottenham had been strongly linked with a move for the player but it’s thought that Chelsea will beat them to the punch and would prefer to tie up the deal as soon as possible, but Internacional want to wait until after the player has played in the Olympics as an impressive display could boot his profile, value and bring more clubs into the bidding.

The Blues are also interested in Sao Paulo’s 19-year-old winger Lucas Moura, who has been attracting the interest of our Premier League rivals Manchester United and Serie A club Inter Milan. Reports also claim that Sao Paulo have already rejected a whopping £32 million bid for the player, I’m not sure about you but that does not sound likely to me unless the Brazilian club have absolutely no plans to sell as they’re unlikely to get more than that.

Both players are highly thought of, highly talented and have potential to get even better. But from the little I have seen of the players, I think I would prefer to sign Lucas Moura over Oscar as he’s a winger, where the latter is more of a number 10 even though he can play in a number of different roles. With the likes of Eden Hazard and Juan Mata in the squad, we’re not exactly in the need for a number 10 and could do with a more natural winger perhaps.

Saying that, I’d be delighted to sign either player. Which player would you prefer to see in Chelsea blue? – Have your say in the comments section below

Those two players are good going by what i have read of them. Either of them can be of good use at d moment though Moura will be of better use going by what Chelsea has already in d middle. Instead of loosing out on both, Chelsea should just grab one of them. Chelsea should also be warry of this too much media hype on these Brazilian players, their respective clubs are trying to use them to screw Chelsea’s head. Chelsea should summon courage and dump them if they want play hard to get and move on afterall chelsea did not win champions league with so much exciting players and they can still do it again. Up Chelsea! Blue for life.

@lekwa this is the best thing i have ever heard. This club are placing so much hype on their players to extort money from clubs like chelsea. Am a true blue but i dont like the way we spend on this over hyped players. The prices they call whenever clubs like chelsea comes knocking make me bitter. I suggest we dump them and move on to some cheaper buys. They re without doubt good players but their prices re way too much.

I prefer oscar for dat price let buy him

Oscar’s more realistic. Moura’s price is too high and he doesn’t seem very interested in the Prem; he seems to prefer Italy or Spain; Brazilian lifestyle thing. For out and out footballing, I think the media and most ‘experts’ seem to rate Moura more highly but I’d prefer a more adaptable and particularly a more committed player = Oscar.

Why are Chelsea after these players? they all look brilliant yeah but dont we already have ‘the next Kaka’ Lucas Piazon? bigger, stronger and more equipped to cope with the Premiership than Lucas and Oscar! plus he’s younger, 7 games 22 goals Brazil U15! 15 games 9 goals Brazil U17! the answer is staring us in the face
