You would be forgiven for forgetting it but Israel international Yossi Benayoun is still a Chelsea player but may not be for much longer as he has recently suggested that he is close to leaving Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder has only played around 8 games for the Blues since he signed from Liverpool for the 2010/11 Premier League season and spent the last campaign on loan to our London rivals Arsenal, I’m guessing he won’t be missed too much.

Benayoun Tweeteed:

“I hope I will have some news about my future soon.”

It would seem as though the pack is being shuffled at Stamford Bridge as Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa. We’ve also signed Marko Marin, Eden Hazard and are likely to add Hulk to that list this summer and with Juan Mata at the club, there’s no room for a player like Benayoun at Chelsea and he’ll be out the door soon.

Last season, Benyoun scored four goals in 10 starts for Arsenal and had a relatively good campaign and won a few fans at the Emirates, yet it seems unlikely that Arsene Wenger is going to move to retain the 32-year-old, albeit according to reports.

His former club West Ham may be keen on bringing back to Upton Park though as they have recently been promoted back into the Premier League from the Championship and would benefit from his experience as they prepare for the challenges of top flight English football.

So, it only seems a matter of time before Yossi Benayoun is penning a new deal at another club and with more signings on the horizon could there be more exits on the cards and, if so, who? Florent Malouda? Michael Essien? Paulo Ferreira? – Have your say in the comments section below

Malouda should give space, to make selection easier and moreso if we get Hulk and Modric rather than Fellaini, we’ll better creativity . Essien, Fereira and Sturridge should also leave.

  5. I think malouda, bosingwa, essien, sturridge must all be sacked to make way for hulk, hazard and marin.

common guys all dis players u want chelsea to offload in various time played well so give dem some credit but i still tink if we are to rebulid some players need to leave first on my list is sturridge his selfishness made him not to be in England team for the euro, Essien also becos he lost form but atleast have a champoinship medal to his name maouda please stay.

I really was proud of you guys after seeing your comments, other clubs don’t seems to enjoy what we are enjoying as Chelsea Families
I want to say Malouda,Fereira,Tumbull, Benayoun and Essien should be respectfully offloaded, they have given their best to the club as at the time due, but now, Chelsea is being rebranded, their services will be better off in other clubs!
Abramovic I want to say thanks for making us proud as Chelsea fans, we wouldn’t be enjoying all these if not for the fact that you weren’t finacially selfish like Sturridge in attack (a reason he didn’t make England squad in the Euro) and a reason why wi will vote him out of Chelsea.
Please sign Hulk, and probably be on the look out for one or two more in the Euro to make chelsea capable of retaining our Champions league next season as well as EPL! One thing I personally would love to see happen is bring in Joshua McEchrin, what a wonder child he would be in that midfield, also appreciate the effort and luck of RDM by giving him a chance to prove his worth! All chelsea family members should take no offences at my comment as I made them as my view and oppinion for the better future of ChelseaFC.com one love all! Chelsea for Life

Mikel, lampard, ramires at midfield are great men. Also defends are excellence. bosingwa is left already, here now in need of right fullback in support of Ivanovic. Essien has really tried for d team but very weak at this time, so they really need some changes there like adding fellaini, who moves very well…..

  9. Fidel says:

Benayoun should be let go. Trailing behind him should be Malouda, Essien, Kalou, Bosingwa and Ferreira.

  10. osman ali says:
