Chelsea are set to unveil Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard at a press conference on Sunday, according to French publication L’Equipe.

Hazard announced that Stamford Bridge will be his destination on Twitter as he chose chose to join the Champions League winners over Manchester City and Manchester United. The deal is thought to be worth around £32m and many fans got to take a closer look of Hazard when he played for Belgium against England on Saturday.

The 21-year-old received mixed reviews for his performance at Wembley today, with the Guardian saying plenty of good things about Hazard and The Mirror completely slating him in Simon Mullock’s piece here which is a piece of journalism so bad that it’s actually amusing. In reality he played ok and his talent is clear. Hazard created six chances during the game but England’s defence were stubborn and managed to close the game out 1-0 but like many players he does not replicate his club form so often for his country, according to my Belgian followers on Twitter.

He will likely face a barrage of questions asking him why he chose to join Chelsea ahead of both Manchester City and United when he is presented to the English press, who seem a little bitter that he did not choose to join United like they had tipped him to do in the weeks before he eventually revealed his intentions.

Hazard is the fourth Belgian that Chelsea has signed recently as he will join Thibaut Courtois, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne on Chelsea’s books.

‘Mirror’ they say, isn’t a reliable magazine! Must every good things happen only to Man Utd? Why are U all peculiar that this guy should head 4 Man Utd? Permit Me 2 answer, U are scared of competition. All this while, Man Utd thrive in matches against Chelsea because their wingers & full backs go out on all attacking mission on Chelsea’s full backs because Chelsea’s winger aren’t sharp, creative enough, lack finess. They get all that in Hazard so Man Utd defence will also be cautious. All being said, Man Utd isn’t the only club in the EPL! There were lots of agitations on Man City winning the title which I found egotistical on Man Utd part. Let football be competitive!
