Chelsea will make moves for three of La Liga’s biggest names this summer in order to rejuvenate their squad, according to Goal.com’s Spanish site.

There have been rumours going around that Andre Villas-Boas’ days at the club are numbered which have only been fuelled by Roman Abramovich’s recent visits to Cobham and some have suggested that the Portuguese coach has got to buck up fast to save his job.

But Goal.com believe that the owner has already lost patience and Real Madrid manager could be set for a spectacular return to Stamford Bridge to settle in the Premier League and lead a long overdue clearout at Chelsea.

The story also suggests that Gonzalo Higuain is set to join him, which I find a little odd considering Mourinho currently prefers Karim Benzema to the Argentine. Chelsea are also interested in bringing in another player from the Spanish capital, from Atletico this time, as Radamel Falcao is also wanted to spearhead the club’s attacking line.

The Blues are currently 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City and are only still in the top four by virtue of the fact that both Arsenal and Liverpool aren’t good enough to catch them at the moment.

What do you make of the above rumours? There’s been a lot of talk about a potential return of Mourinho recently, especially on Twitter. I’m not quite sure what to make of that one but he did say that he was still ‘in love’ with the club last season and that his story belongs with Chelsea.

Let giv avb enough time 2 build d team, we no need 2 change manager like cloth, wath we only nid is 2 make sure dat we buy falcao, juvetic, hazard or william, & another 3 to rplace asley cole

  7. Lakupiippu says:

Sack avb now and bring back Mourinho ,bring back Mourinho!

  8. Ifeanyi dike says:

Avb made mistakes during the last transfer market for not buying players especially in midfield knowing for sure we lack creativity in that position ,one or two sharp, strong, and prolific strikers to help the team rejuvenate their scoring form. Since the present Chelsea chairman took over the reign as owner ,this has been their worst season. So whatsoever thing that happens to Avb, is his own making .

  9. mark says:

I just get the feeling that AVB talks too much, too many words for everything. Too much analysis and not enough gut feeling ! I dont know if I can take another season of it. Either Mourinho or a guy who has been there and done it on the pitch pleeeease !

Moanrinho has had his time at Chelsea. We’ve had
enough of him.I travelled 800 miles for every home game and it got so boring wih Jose. The full backs never crossed the halfway line and Roman and the board just had enough of his carry on, always draging the club down.AVB has to be given the time to build his own team and then he can be judged fairly.
