Chelsea are preparing a £25m bid for Lille playmaker Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Mail.
Hazard has been linked to a whole host of top European clubs over recent months but it seems that Chelsea could be the first to make an official bid.
However, Chelsea’s proposed £25m is expected to be knocked back by the French champions who are looking at a figure closer to the £35m mark.
Former Blues favourite and current Lille attacker Joe Cole has commented that Hazard is arguably the most talented player he has worked with and compared the Belgian to Lionel Messi.

To get the top players, you have to pay stupid prices. Hazard could turn things on in the Premiership and put us at per with Man City. £30m is not too high for the talented lad.
I agree with with u all, Hazard is the kind of player we need to rejuvinate our midfield, but it is unlikely we will be able to price him away from Lille in this transfer window. His agent has already said he wants to stay and help lille to win the french league. His club have also the only way they sell him is the summer however any club that wants him have to pay £35millon and than loan him back. I think we should wait till summer and instead go for Campos who is being compard to Messi and Ronaldo he would only cost £8million and he plays for River Plate this is only to people who have never heard of him. Hulk, Hazard, Neymar, Lucas, and Pato will be Chelsea targets in the summer.
