After earning a point at White Hart Lane the Blues will play their second London derby in four days against Fulham, who rolled over for Manchester United in their last outing and I hope to see more dreadful defending from them when they visit Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans will be hoping that David Luiz is fit for Boxing Day as John Terry is our only fit centre-half after Branislav Ivanovic picked up a knock against Spurs and Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out the possibility of recalling Alex to the first team.

Villas-Boas will also have something of a selection headache as Ramires is suspended for the match and Mikel is doubtful with injury.

The team I’d pick to play Fulham:

P. Cech

J. Bosingwa – D. Luiz – J. Terry (c) – A. Cole

R. Meireles – O. Romeu – F. Lampard

D. Sturridge – F. Torres – J. Mata

As much as he worries me when he’s in our defence, I’m hoping that Luiz is available for selection tomorrow or we’ll probably have to play Bosingwa alongside Terry again, with Ferreira at right-back. Oriol Romeu has played in central defence before, but has to play in midfield due to Mikel’s injury.

The midfield picks itself and Frank Lampard will make his way back into the starting line-up by default, even though I’d rather have seen more of Josh McEachran this season but am resigned to the fact that he won’t get his chances yet and will have to go out on loan to gain experience.

Didier Drogba has walked his way through his last two Chelsea games, looks lethargic and rarely bothered. The Ivorian earned some plaudits after a handful of decent performances of late but has earned his spot of the bench after his piss-poor displays against Wigan and Tottenham. If Fulham defend like they did against United then this could be the perfect opportunity for Fernando Torres to rediscover his goal-scoring touch.

Who’d be in your Chelsea XI to play against Fulham on Boxing Day? – Have your say in the comments section below.

Bosingwa and Luis in the same backing = accident waiting to happen.

But it looks like the only option available.

    Romeu
    Miereles
    Mata

    Sturridge
Torres (Drogba has been playing Laaazy)
    Malouda / Kalou

BTW, why not recall Kakuta and have him stay as backup once Anelka, Kalou and Drogba go.
I think he’s not really been given a chance at all. Serves Those little trotters right for not using him. I hope they go down this season…
