After Andre Villas-Boas confirmed that Nicolas Anelka handed in a transfer requests it was only a matter of time before we found out where he’d be going and he has agreed to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua on a two-year deal, according to SkySports.com.

The Chinese club recently announced that they were hopeful of securing the Frenchman on a three-year deal to help boost the club’s profile as well as helping them out on the pitch. But it would seem as though talks have concluded with a two-year deal being agreed.

The switch is set to be pushed through in January so it’d be interesting to see who will replace the 32-year-old at Stamford Bridge, if anyone.
