Danish international Christian Eriksen has emerged as a high profile transfer target for both Manchester City and Chelsea.

Chelsea have allegedly already made a £22 million big for the highly rated midfielder, however City are primed to offer £30 million. The Ajax schemer is widely regarded as one Europe’s hottest prospects and neither club want to lose out, with the Dutch club hopeful that a bidding war ensues.

Aside from City and Chelsea, Europe’s top clubs have been comprehensively scouting Eriksen for some time and his consistently impressive performances look set to result in a big money move.

The Dane has already played 18 times for his country despite his tender years and a career at the very top looks certain.
