Rumour has it that Frank Arnesen is targeting a fifth Chelsea youngster to take to Hamburg after previously signing Michael Mancienne, Jacopo Sala and Gokhan Tore signed for the Bundesliga club, with Jeffrey Bruma agree a 12-month loan deal last week.

It’s believed that Gael Kakuta is the latest player to appear on Hamburg’s radar and the 19-year-old will likely get more opportunities there as he’s yet to make his mark in the Chelsea squad, or the Premier League after a so-so spell at Fulham.

However, it would likely just be a loan move as the player has said he’s not planning on moving clubs and seems coy on any potential interest in him:

“I have a contract with Chelsea until 2015.”

He added:

“I know Frank Arnesen well and he has been good to me.

“I am not aware that he wants me in Germany.”

Kakuta is a talented player and I would like to see him get more first team opportunities to develop further, but it’s unlikely he’ll be getting them at Stamford Bridge during the season, so a loan move to Hamburg could be ideal for him, especially considering a few players he knows have recently moved there and Arnesen is a man who clearly rates the player.
