Now that Chelsea have finally got a new manager in place they can finally get on with trying to close the gap between them and Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson has wasted no time this Summer and it looks as if this transfer window could been one of the busiest for a long time at Old Trafford, with the managerial limbo at Stamford Bridge however they clearly have some catching up to do. Whilst supposedly they made an offer for Luka Modric, and rumours abound that talks are ongoing with Romelu Lukaku as well as Brazillian sensation Neymar, it is probably not surprising that without a manager they have failed to complete any moves.

I think there is one player however that should be wrapped up as soon as possible, there have been suggestions flying around the back pages for about 18 months now about the possibility of Brazilian forward Hulk moving to the Premier League and I think now would be as good a time as any. The 24 year old is currently playing for Porto and has played under Boas, therefore even if interest did come from other clubs the possiblity of linking up with his former coach would surely not be one he would want to pass up.

The Chelsea squad needs a real overhaul, and there is evidence that the process has already begun, new faces such as Fernando Torres, Ramires, and David Luiz appear to be the future at Stamford Bridge and there are players that a few years ago were vital are now somewhat surplus to requirements. Players such as Nicolas Anelka, John Obi Mikel, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou and maybe even Didier Drogba are now looking less important to Chelsea.

It is a possibility that Roman Abramovich may have to do something that he isn’t used to doing and actually show some patience, the rebuilding of Chelsea won’t be done overnight, but it could be highly beneficial in the long term. Ferguson rebuilds his United squad every now and again and they may go a couple of years without a trophy, but it always pays off in the end. As this rebuilding continues I think Hulk is an absolute must.

The forward has scored 23 goals in 26 domestic games this season as well as laying on 13 goals for team mates, he has also managed to net 8 goals in European competition clearly a superb season for the 24 year old. Mostly playing from the right wing he would provide a real threat in the Premier League something that would only help the so far forlorn Chelsea striker Torres. His versatility is admirable, he is also adept at playing on the left or through the middle, and I think he has all the physical assets required to excel in English football, he has immense strength, pace, and a blistering strike, he has everything you need to score goals in the Premier League.

He has previously been linked with a whole host of English clubs, Tottenham have supposedly considered a move, as have Manchester United and Manchester City but the presence of Boas at Stamford Bridge would surely now make them favourites for his signature. Tabloid press reports have also linked Chelsea with Falcao, a team mate of Hulk at Porto but I still believe the Brazilian to be the better option.

Clearly this wouldn’t be a cheap move to finance, but according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Porto would accept around £35million for the goal machine and they also reckon that he is the new Chelsea man’s top priority. An outlay of £85million on 2 strikers over a period of about 6 months could be seen as excessive but I am sure it would reap rewards, and I am certain that Hulk would be somewhat of a super hero at the Bridge… you didn’t think i’d make it through without one joke about his name did you?

    Chelsea should sign

Now Someone seem to be on same track with me.
Since Sanchez favors a Barca move then we Lure In Hulk for the right wing and Neymar for the Left Wing then Modric for the Midfield.

    Game On…..KTBFF

    • Chris says:

Sanchez does favour a Barca move but its not like he doesnot want to play for Chelsea.Even Ashley Cole wants to move to Spain but still he’s here n we are confident that he’ll be there. So we should out bid City n Sign the Chilean n Neymar.

I think people do forget dat we have like zhirkov and benayyoun dat are useless to chelsea, plz mikel has. Been destroyed by us,mikel is an attacking mid fielder not holdinf

attacking midfield player? Mikel couldn’t hit a barn door mate. He shooting is diabolical and his passing too often goes astray. Chelsea should sell him and buy Fellaini from Everton instead…

  5. ola says:

  7. iyke says:

hulk is not wat we need 35 is very very over priced why not ask AVB 2 buy messi or C RONALDO they might come cheap hw much did man u buy chicharito re there no chicharito or suarez again plz stop writting bull s*********t any play dat is expencive should go and play in hell

  8. kaybyte says:

it is better we sign hulk because he has all it takes to fit into the premier league.

I’ve got to totally disagree with this article. Every time Hulk has played a decent Premiership side in European football he either goes missing or is very average. I would trust AVB’s opinion over this more than anyones and he is clearly intent on trying to get Falcao who was the real goalscoring sensation in Porto’s fantastic season last term. Although Falcao is smaller he is robustly built and a lot quicker than Hulk. Falcao was Porto’s leading goal scorer last season and broke the Europa cups record for his number of goals scored. To me there is no question that Falcao is twice the player that Hulk is, more skillful and more deadly in and around the box. He has also stated his willingness to follow AVB to Chelsea and at £27m compared to £35m its a no brainer!

    • Rex says:

I think you are right man…falcao is cheaper and more skillful than hulk,he has good finishing and is also very good in the air which would complement for fernando’s shyness in the air…tores and falcao up front to me is a deadly combo, but wont be effective without the following players in midfield:modric or snider or josh…

  10. Hulk will definitely make a difference in chelsea team,i still wonder why chelsea is delaying in signing players,we can not rely on our present players because if we do,it will lead to another heart break.I do not see Lampard, drogba, malouda, anelka, ferreira, bosingwa doing any magic,i have watched them play and i have also watched their dvds.AVB should act fast
