There is a strong rumour doing the rounds of some press agencies that when Manchester City made a recent approach to Arsenal to enquire about Cesc Fabregas they were immediately informed that he was off to Spain this summer. It looks as though the Gunners captain will finally get his wish for a move to his beloved Barcelona.

As for Man City, they have now turned their attentions to Barca’s Iniesta as Fabregas’ arrival at the Camp Nou will surely put someone’s nose out of joint. Barca can’t/won’t play Messi, Xavi, Fabregas AND Iniesta in the same team, surely. City have recent previous of doing business with Barca when they bought Yaya Toure last summer.

Iniesta at 27 is just the type of playmaker that Roman Abramovich loves and I’m sure would get a huge thumbs up from Fernando Torres. Is it beyond all reason that ‘if’ Chelsea were to bring in Mata, the flying Spanish winger to join Torres that Iniesta would also welcome an approach from Chelsea?

Like many English Premiership fans I will be watching this weekend’s Champions league final and rooting for Barca to really turn it on. Some may say that I should be supporting the English club but there is no way on gods earth I could ever bring myself to support Sir Alex Ferguson or his Manchester United team. I really hope they get thumped as I watch the likes of Iniesta and co and just wish one or two of them were wearing a Chelsea shirt.

i really can’t see Barca letting Iniesta leave. It’s more likely that Cesc would be on the bench.

I highly doubt that barca would splash 50+ million to have a player they expect to be on the bench…that makes no sense- just sayin

Where did you get the fairytale that fabregas was going to Barcelona from. If you believe all the rumours then fabregas is actually going to madrid with madrid paying 30 million plus Benzema. If you believe more rumours then Nasri is going to Man U. Taht will never happen, Nasri may well be sold but it won’t be to another English club, fabregas will go but will cost in excessive of the 52 million you lot paid for that waste of space torres.

    cheers

If you knew anything at all about Spain or Spanish football you would know exactly why Fabrigas will NEVER go to Real Madrid. Lets just wait and see if the Spaniard is still with Arsenal next term shall we.

He will provide us with everything we need…but we should sign Mata first…

I wish he come..he will be of good help for chelsea…may be lampard will be sold.

    • twahil says:

i u talk of lampard your right with that. but I don’t know if he can be sold that will be good for the young boys to play

    • MrTeeks says:

I must say that while Lamps has been a great servant to the club, its safe to say that he is winding down considerably. He isnt the same player that he was, and we cannot begrudge him that. Given the interest that is there particularly from Mourinho, I would be inclined to either let him go NOW and get a handsome fee, or keep him but with the long term view of brining him into the management fold in some way, shape or form. For what he means to the club, I’d hate for him to leave and never return (much like JT), but if he is to leave, he should go now for a few bob. We could most definintely do with the space he would vacate and also the spare change from his transfer.

How effin naive is the author? You seriously think one club would inform another that their captain is off to Spain, weeks before the end of the season and before the transfer window opens?

Hey, I have some magic beans you can buy…. Oh dear.

    • Anthony Williams says:

Regardless of whether that happened or not, you don’t think Fabregas could end up at Barcelona? Wouldn’t exactly be shock of the century if he did.

gud article. it will be a dream come true for every chelsea fan if it happens.. but its never going to happen. lets just dont think too high for anything. we have a lot of other possible options than going for iniesta. lets just look at the midfield.. lampard, ofcourse is a world class player with no doubt.. he have don enough for the well being of the club.. but at the moment we need to think about another replacememt or another guy who can make gud partnership with him. a person who has enough technical skills, pacy, nd who can make fantastic goal scorin passes, which completes the qualities.. just get rid of the ageing squad.. atleast half of them and revild the team!! i would agree with ancelloti tat its too dangerous to do so… but der is no other way other than taking a risk for reaching our respected abramovichs dreams.. we need gud wingers, i mean a natural deep sided winger who can take the left and right.. like arjan robben or gareth bale.. take matta or hazard in the left.. bring one gud right winger like sanchez . kakuta should be also made to play there.. start giving chances for patrick van aanholt.. coz ashley cole can hardly play 4 more seasons.. give mikel more chances.. essien and mikel dont go together sell essien before his market comes down.. give mceachren more chances for gud experiences.. torres is still the best.. need a gud coach first of all!! apart from silly stupid mistakes the defence is the best for the english club.. buy van der weil for more attacking essence.. ashley cole in the right and vdw in right will be awesome.. sell malouda, essien, kalou, bosingva, ferrira this season.. give zhirkov chances for next season, he is gud apart from injuries.. buy hamsik/ fabregas( if an affordable deal) / sneider/ modric/ericksson/arteta in the centre.. buy neymar and aguero instead of lukaku who is just a gamble . buy affelay or elia if none of the left wingers are ready.. adel taarabt for a replacement for malouda or anelka along with some money will be ideal.. buy hazard, will make a gud deal for the fans as well as for abramoich to see some ” sexy football” ..
