There has been plenty of talk about which players Chelsea may sign this summer and also of those who may be departing the club, but which players could be set for the exit doors this summer?
Here are five players that the club may consider moving on this summer:
1. Jose Bosingwa
The Portuguese right-back has found life tough at Stamford Bridge since his long layoff through injury during the double winning campaign and I do not expect him to be around much longer, especially if the club is chasing the likes of Gregory van der Wiel.
2. Yury Zhirkov
The 27-year-old is a talented player, but has failed to make his mark at Chelsea since arriving from CSKA Moscow in 2009. He has had his injury problems and we’re still not really sure what his best position is or what to do with the guy. In terms of backup left-backs, I think either Ryan Bertrand or Patrick van Aanholt could do the job and David Luiz can play there in an emergency, so there’d be no reason to replace Zhirkov.
3. Florent Malouda
Started the season with a bang, went off the boil during the winter months, but ended up finishing fairly strongly. Despite a so-so season in Blue the Frenchman has scored 14 goals this term and turns 31 this summer, so isn’t too old and still has some resale value. The reason why he could leave the club is that we’re reportedly in for a winger or two, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Willian linked to Chelsea.
4. Didier Drogba
I don’t doubt that the Ivorian forward still has a lot to offer before he decides to hang up his boots in football, but he isn’t getting any younger and is going into the final year of his £120k-a-week contract. It’s either Drogba or Fernando Torres, in my opinion, as it seems as though the pair of them may be incompatible. Drogba’s future in west London depends on himself, will he be willing to accept a lesser role at the club? If yes, then you could perhaps replace his name for Nicolas Anelka’s, who has already taken more of a back seat.
5. Salomon Kalou
Chelsea’s so-called ‘super sub’, but the former Feyenoord man has recently shown some displeasure in the role. Kalou stormed straight down the tunnel after coming off the bench to score Chelsea’s winner against Tottenham, has implied he may leave in order to find regular first team football and has recently refused to back his manager in public (he doesn’t have to, but it suggests he could be unhappy with his role in the squad).
The Blues may go looking for a support striker to compliment Torres this summer and Daniel Sturridge will be returning after an impressive loan spell at Bolton, could the aforementioned forwards be the ones to make way?

I realise the likes of Paulo Ferreira and Henrique Hilario may be on many fans’ lists of players they think will leave the club, and they may do, but are not included in the list above for the same reason the likes of Jack Cork, Daniel Philliskirk and Michael Woods aren’t included – they don’t have much sale value and don’t really have any impact on the first XI.

Anelka must go for Aguero to come but not Didier

anelka,ferera,bosingwa n malouda should go not didier,zhirkov…..get a good wingers to speed up chelsea’s game,there are too slow dis days,lampard should atimes left on bench for mc eachran get regular football n sturridge shud be recalled back to back up didier not torress…..toress is too dull for cfc game.1 luv.
Let bosingwa, malouda and kalou go. Chelsea should keep drogba, anelka and yuri. Please don’t be stupid to write the most experienced players off. Many fans favored ballack’s and deco’s exit and wanted ramires to replace them. Which actually did happen and as a result – very disappointing season.
Drogba and anelka and lampard should be chelsea’s benchwarmers. danny is looks good and should start with torres.
Honestly, I think zhirkov should be give more chance he is a good player. He just did not get enough chances where he is best at (left wing).
To buy, we need a right midfielder. I feel bastian schweinsteiger is the perfect fit. And in centre we need a player like muller.
Chelsea should sell anelka and bring in the great aguero because Dider Drogba still have a lot to offer to chelsea next season. the deadly strikes chelsea need to buy this summer is (1) Aguero (2) Neymar, this players will play along side with almight Dider Drogba, torres, Sturridge, for a creative midfielder the perfect player is bastian schweinsteiger. have a nice day
Great chelsea should bring the likes of schniestieger, sagio aguero and hulk, to replace malouda, anelka and kalou, chelsea should kip didier drogba, and yuri zirkov should be given more chance. Paulo fereira, jose bosingwa, hilario, should all be offload frm the club for d young loan player to have a chance of play.
Wingers/Strikers:anelka,kalou,malouda should go for hazzard,sanchez,danny &(aguero or neymar any one from these two will serve) Midfield:yuri zhirkov and one from either mikel or essien to make way for luiz in dat position.schweinsteiger(who is perfect and can play in any position be it dm,cm or am)should come in ,he turns 27 soon and when getting to 30s then d likes of josh,sala,ramires,mellis and piaxon will be matured enough 2 play.in am, i think lamps & yossi are perfect coupled with experience.when drogba is upfront put lamps but when torres,danny or any one is upfront put yossi. so our midfield will be (lamp or yossi) luiz schweinstieger. DEFENCE:bosingwa and ferreira suppose to be out.either van der wiel or fucile or subotic should come in(one of them) and bring back bruma,mancienne and van aaholt 2 play with our bunch of experience defenders. KEPPERS:turnbull and hillario out for begovic or neuer to come in. COACHES:ancelloti and emenalo out & hinddink and zola.PLEASE do not let borini go,either give him another loan spell.We(chelsea) really give young players chances at a very low tender age at d age of 17s, & 18s when there are not ready but when coming 2 ages dat makes them fully dat will be when there will hope on them kakuta for example.
