Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge today and have climbed above Roberto Mancini’s side into third place.

The Citizens brought their dull brand of football to west London and the game had 0-0 written all over it, until Brazilian duo David Luiz and Ramires scored a goal each late in the second half and claimed all three points for the Blues, who are continuing on their road to recovery.

Carlo Ancelott’s side were completely written off in the title race just a few months ago, but the squad has shown its resilience and will ask questions of those above them if they continue to pick up the points.

    – I learned how the coach can deal with the match

i find Man city bad whenever Tevez aint playing that’s what i’ve learned..also that David Luiz showed again that he is a good talent and if he works well he can be a great defender..also Torres remains overrated again in my opinion as he does nothing well till now.Lampard is out of his best and Drogba even at his 33 will always be a huge threat for defenses.still the title is ours.MUFC 4 EVER

  3. Latoye says:

    1) Tevez is Mancity.
    2) Luiz is legend.
    3) Ramires in first city game vs ramires today, difference in our form.
    4) Drogba is still useful, but only that.
    5) CHELSEA ARE BACK, ELLO ELLO

Torres will come good when Chelsea start to give him some service. In all the games so far,i can only think of one pass which was provided, and that was against Fulham by a long ball from Luiz.
It’s no good having a Ferrari and not being able
    to put petrol in it.

    1. Competition for places is now improving the team and individual performances all round.
    2. We have now turned “Jason Cundy’s” corner and will loose very few points in the run in, particularly when Torres finds his shooting improving.
    3. Ramirez & Luiz got their deserved glory today for their goals, but they are improving every game and are Ancelloti buys and are proving the manager should be allowed to build the team in his image. Benayoun will also come good I believe and should link well with Torres.
    4. We need a genuine right back

  6. Essexblue says:

    To continue:
Who can get behind defences. Too many times Ivanovich passed the half way line but then made a poor pass or cross rather than get behind the citeh defence giving the strikers a pass or cross that allowed them to strike the ball facing goal. Ivanovich is a class centre back but we need an attacking right back aswell as a good defender.
    5. Rotation is working with the players all coming back to fitness. I am optimistic Chelsea are hitting their best form at the business end of the season. We can win the premiership and can win the Champions League. KTBFFH

after all said and done.I think chelsea have a good chance of winning this title only if they win all their remaining games.I have said it times without number, that the problem chelsea is facing is too many old players in a team that want to compete at the highest level in a very pacy league.for me,i think frank lampard should leave before he turns fans enemy, the guy is finished.malouda, anelka, ferreira, mikel should all leave with immediate effect.chelsea should keep D.D for one more season.bring in hasik, neymar, hazard and mallo/venderweil.

    1. Manchester City are not only the most expensive squad in the league, but the most boring too. They make the likes of Stoke and Blackburn look exciting.

    2. Florent Malouda has regressed into his pre-Hiddink form and cannot cross for toffee.

    3. David Luiz is a superstar. The most exciting defender I have ever seen.

    4. Ramires works his socks off game after game with boundless energy, so I was delighted to see him score a wonderful goal.

    5. Carlo Ancelotti hasn’t done Fernando Torres’ confidence any favours by constant subbing, as Eidur implied in the TV analysis, and I agree.

  9. CHELSEA4LYF says:

    (1) Luiz will grow up to be a superstar
    (2) Torres is useless SORRY
    (3) Chelsea need a right back with speed
    (4) What a waste of money (TORRES)
    (5) Chelsea are back and a threat

  10. CHELSEA4LYF says:

    Abd is lame SORRY
