It had been feared that Wayne Rooney could miss tomorrow’s clash against Chelsea, as well as the next two Manchester United fixtures after elbowing James McCarthy in the head on Saturday, but the FA have decided that he will not be punished.

The Shrek Forever After star should have been shown a straight red by referee and team-mate Mark Clattenburg, however all Rooney got from the official was a warm smile and a loving embrace, the FA deemed that Clattenburg took the right course of action and are powerless to launch disciplinary actions against Rooney.

Many critics had highlighted that Rooney was once again showing the darker side of his game, but it was McCarthy’s fault for being in the way and a violent muscle spasm in the England forward’s arm was the cause of the incident…obviously, as just like Saint Stevie of Merseyside (accidentally elbowed Michael Brown last season), Shrek can do no wrong.

Just furthers my belief that Ferguson is in bed with the FA.

Let’s see what antics he get’s up to tomorrow and if the gets away with them. I predict Brana will eat his face.

I just loved the may Claterburg gave him a pat on the back and a loving smile. I wonder if the ref assessor in the crowd saw it? Probably thought striking an opponent deserves a free kick also. I always thought it was a red card offence.

Obviously it was McCarthy’s fault for recklessly headbutting Rooney’s elbow. Daft lad. lol
