Deadline day has arrived and still Chelsea have yet to sign anyone, is this it, or will we be making some big last minute moves?

The majority of the English press are certain that Roman Abramovich will sanction a British record transfer fee for Liverpool’s Fernando Torres, who is keen on a move away from Anfield. The Reds have also tabled a massive £30m offer for Newcastle’s Andy Carroll, which would suggest that he could be the Spaniard’s replacement.

Torres is one of the best strikers in the world, so it’s a story that has grabbed the attention of everyone and with 81 goals in 142 games, he’s certainly a player who would improve any squad.

However, his injury history is also a talking point amongst many. Is Torres worth the proposed £50m that it will take to sign him?
