Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko showed very little at Stamford Bridge and never seemed as though he would be a success.

What’s the word?

Those are words to that extent from transfer insider Dean Jones, who has informed GIVEMESPORT of his thoughts on the forgotten Chelsea man.

The insider believed he would never come to fruition as a successful signing, even before his four-year absence from the Blues, which has seen him represent the likes of AC Milan, Monaco, Napoli and Milan once more in a loan-spell-frenzy.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said: “He barely showed any signs he could thrive at Chelsea. It’s surprising when that happens with a player of such obvious natural quality but sometimes things just do not work out.”

The Forgotten Man

More than four years have passed since Bakayoko’s last appearance in a Blues shirt, so fans can be forgiven for thinking he had been sold.

Quite incredibly, the one-cap France international is still a Chelsea player after being shipped out on loan year after year.

Though, having linked up with Milan, enjoying Serie A success last season, Bakayoko will be hoping that this spell is different and end in a permanent transfer, with the Italian Champions possessing an obligation to buy the 28-year-old.

But, it’s been a mixed spell at Milan, with Chelsea coming back to haunt him once again.

He is now a permanent fix on the bench, due to the San Siro side’s awareness of the £12million fee that they will have to pay to Chelsea if Bakayoko is to make another appearance in the Serie A.

Once dubbed “priceless” by the admins at AS Monaco for his substitution blunder, Bakayoko was once a bright star, joining the Stamford Bridge side in 2017 at the age of 23 after making a name for himself at Monaco.

With Chelsea playing a big role in his career, both the player and the club will surely be looking to part ways, with his contract set to expire in 2024.
