Todd Boehly taking “hands-on” approach at Chelsea

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has taken a “hands-on” approach to running the club behind-the-scenes and will be holding regular talks with new manager Graham Potter and the playing squad.
That is according to journalist Paul Brown, who has informed GIVEMESPORT of his understanding as to how the club is being run under the new regime.

Brown understands that Boehly is a busy figure behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge and is the overseer of how the club is run. The journalist believes that the 49-year-old is holding regular conversations with Potter and the Chelsea players.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown said: “I am hearing that Todd Boehly is quite a hands-on personality and intends to be that way in and around the club.
“I suspect for the first few weeks, now that there is a new manager in place, he will be here, there and everywhere, smoothing things over, speaking to players, having talks with the manager and deciding strategy. I think that’s probably quite natural.”
Boehly at the forefront
Since acquiring Chelsea in a takeover late May, the American owner has had his fingers in many pies and quite literally led the club’s transfer front over the summer, acting as a self-appointed interim sporting director.
Having had a heavy hand in the refusal to sanction a permanent exit for on-loan Callum Hudson-Odoi and the medical which preceded Wesley Fofana’s signing, along with committing to a top talents strategy in search of promising young signings, it is no surprise to hear that the 49-year-old is heavily involved as he attempt to smooths things over at a club which has undergone a major transition this year.
The positive takeaway is that Boehly is clearly dedicated and passionate about this project, which will surely be music to the ears of the Stamford Bridge faithful.
