Fans of Chelsea have poured on to Twitter to reminisce over the career of former Blues striker, Nicolas Anelka.

With supporters in awe of the impressive hat-trick all over again, the comments were flooded with praise for the 40-year-old.

What do we think?
While Anelka’s goal return in a Chelsea shirt was by no means consistently prolific (via Transfermarkt), the Frenchman aided Chelsea to one Premier League title, three FA Cup victories and a further two Community Shield triumphs, as well as lifting the Champions League (Transfermarkt).
For only a four-year stay at Stamford Bridge, that was a serious haul of silverware.
Awesome post! Keep up the great work! 🙂
