These Chelsea fans have been sharing their love for former Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech after the official Chelsea Twitter account shared a video of one his best saves in a Chelsea shirt.

The video shows the clip of Cech making a wonderful save to deny former Manchester United man Javier Hernandez a headed goal at Stamford Bridge in the West-London side’s 1-0 victory over the Manchester club in April 2013.

This post gathered a lot of love from Chelsea fans who were quick to show their appreciation for the goalkeeper.

Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans praising Cech:

Cech joined Chelsea in 2004 from French side Stade Rennais for a fee of £11.7 million (TransferMarkt). The ‘keeper spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge, making 494 appearances and keeping 228 clean sheets (Transfermarkt). During his playing career, Cech won seven Footballer of the Year awards, four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three English League trophies and one Champions League title (Transfermarkt).

In the video tweeted by Chelsea, Cech states that save against United in 2013 is in his top 5 saves of his career.

What do we think?

That save against United is surely one of the best pieces of goalkeeping in the Premier League ever. Despite a late-career move to rivals Arsenal in 2015 (Transfermarkt), most Chelsea fans seem to still recognise Cech as a club legend and one of the pinnacle figures in Chelsea’s success under owner Roman Abramovich.
