This video then received a lot of praise from many Chelsea fans.

Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans delighted with Tomori’s tackle:

Despite, conceding two goals from the home side in the closing minutes of the match, Tomori put in a solid display, achieving a 6.7 rating (WhoScored). The Englishman’s performances with the absence of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have made the 21-year-old a significant figure in Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side, having made 11 appearances in all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).

Some Chelsea fans are looking ahead and predicting a successful future at the West London club for the young defender.

What do we think?

Tomori’s tackle was sensational, and for such a young defender, he already looks like he has experience beyond his years, with recent praise from Frank Lampard adding to the buzz around the youngster (The Express). The defender’s time playing under Lampard at Derby County will have surely helped Tomori understand Lampard’s managerial philosophy, but just how quickly Tomori has adjusted to the Premier League is truly impressive. He is another prime example of a young English player with a potentially big future ahead of him.
