Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to share their best wishes to injured centre-half Antonio Rudiger.
Chelsea fan account The Blues tweeted comments made from the German international on his injury and upcoming return to fitness, which surfaced from Sportschau (via Sport Witness).
Rudiger said: “I’m itching to get back. It is very long now. Even with my cruciate ligament rupture, I was not out for so long. But I am very patient.”
These comments left a big impression on some Chelsea fans who then felt the need to leave their best wishes for the Chelsea man.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans hoping for a speedy recovery for Rudiger:

The 26-year-old has missed 10 matches so far this season with a groin injury (Transfermarkt). Rudiger made 33 Premier League appearances last season, in which he averaged 2.9 clearances per game according to WhoScored.

The fact that he didn't even wear the new kit on pitch makes me more sad

What do we think?
Rudiger has been a big miss this season for Chelsea, which could be a reason behind them conceding 21 goals so far this season in all competitions (WhoScored). Of course, it isn’t guaranteed that Rudiger coming back into the team will automatically sure things up, but his experience will certainly be welcome in what is a Chelsea defence that currently hosts an inexperienced Fikayo Tomori.
