Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to air their love for Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta, six years on from his opening goal for the club.
Following a post to the club’s official account on Tuesday, the Blues reminded fans that six years ago to the day the Spaniard opened his scoring account for Chelsea in a 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium (via BBC).
Blues supporters headed straight for the comments section to let their thoughts on the 30-year-old gush, with many remarking how Azpilicueta has gone from strength to strength since then.

Azpilicueta arrived at the club the same season as his opening goal, in 2013, making a £7.9 million switch from French outfit Olympique de Marseille.
Since then the Spaniard has gone on to make 351 appearances for the Blues, bagging a further eight goals to add to his first – leaving the 30-year-old with a tally of nine scored and 44 assisted (via Transfermarkt).
Having been named club captain last season (via Chelsea), many supporters just wanted to see more of the same in the future from the super skipper.

What do we think?
With some talk of the Spaniard being replaced in the not too distant future (per The Sun), it is without doubt that Azpilicueta has been a fantastic servant to the club over his six years in London.
Now valued at £31.5 million (per Transfermarkt), the initial fee of £7.9 million looks a bargain – a price for which he has repaid multiple times over.
