Chelsea have endured a tricky start to the new season, and the mood among fans is mixed ahead of the Blues’ next league game.
Following four Premier League games, the Blues are positioned in 11th in the league table.
The 4-0 defeat to Manchester United on the opening weekend of the new campaign has been followed by home draws to Leicester City and Sheffield United, and an away win against Norwich City.
The Blues travel to Wolverhampton to face Wolves in their next league game on the 14th of September. As the latest period of international fixtures draws to a close, focus is beginning to shift towards club football.
Since returning to England’s top-flight, Wolves have performed tremendously well, particularly against top-six opposition. Nuno’s side finished in 7th place last season and took four points from a possible six against Chelsea last season.
Frank Lampard will be hoping to improve on his predecessor’s results against this weekend’s opponents, although he’ll be wary of the challenge that awaits his side.
By judging the reaction on social media, it appears that many Chelsea fans recognise the difficulty of the Blues’ next game.
Here’s the best of the reaction:
Injuries left, right and centre but I don’t care! WE GOT THIS! 3 points already added on the table!!
