The buzz is well and truly back at Stamford Bridge, as anticipation builds ahead of the Blues’ Champions League clash against Valencia tomorrow night.

There’s always something special about the Champions League, isn’t there? The anthem alone is enough to send shivers down your spine, and the Blues will be hoping for the best possible start to their campaign against Valencia tomorrow.

Interestingly, the Blues have never lost in six games against Valencia, and everyone associated with the club will hope they can maintain that record tomorrow night.

Ahead of the Blues’ return to Europe’s premier club competition, the club’s Twitter account have posted a clip of Ramires’ goal in Chelsea’s dramatic semi-final win against Barcelona in the 2011/12 season.

Of course, the goal needs no introduction, the game sealed Chelsea’s passage to the final in Munich – and we all know what happened next!

One of the most exciting elements in that game was the adversity that the Blues overcame to triumph. A red card and a 2-0 deficit against one of the world’s greatest sides would have prevented most teams, but not Chelsea.

With Frank Lampard at the helm, the Blues will be hoping to channel that same spirit in Europe this season.

Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to that memorable night on social media:
