Chelsea fans have made it clear on who they would like to be the next club captain following the opening two games of the season.
Their Premier League campaign started with an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Manchester United before a much-improved performance was put in on Wednesday night against the Champions League holders Liverpool United in the UEFA Super Cup.
A recurring theme across both games has been the desperation to see Reece James take Cesar Azpilicueta’s place in the line up. Though, with the 19-year-old currently out injured there’s nothing to suggest that happening any time soon.
That hasn’t stopped fans talking about who they want to take the armband if the Spaniard were to be dropped and it’s one name that keeps cropping up.
Jorginho.
Fans have labelled the Italy international as ‘top captain material’ as well as a ‘wise choice.’
Others believe it is only a matter of time before he is captain, claiming that he will grow and grow into the role whilst one further supporter claimed he deserved it.
