Chelsea were victorious in their penultimate pre-season friendly as they came out on top in a thrilling 5-3 encounter against RB Salzburg.

A brace from new £58m signing Christian Pulisic and an audacious flick from Pedro were just three of the five goals as Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi rounded off the scoring.

It was the performance from the American which left many Chelsea supporters drooling for more ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

One supporter said Pulisic was his number ten, amidst reports linking both Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi to the vacant shirt number left behind by 21-goal winger Eden Hazard.

Others believed that the 20-year-old would be quality for Chelsea with one claiming that he looks like a gem. Another supporter said he’s better than Nicolas Pepe – taking a swipe at local rivals Arsenal who are on the verge of completing a £72m transfer.

Pulisic seems to already be a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge even despite not featuring in a competitive game yet.

The wonderkid ended his summer early in order to prepare for this upcoming season even though he had only just finished a stint with his national team in the Gold Cup.
