We’ve seen two sides of Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma in the space of just a few days.

In the Premier League opener against Manchester United, the 24-year-old was error-prone and his mistakes cost the side dearly – none more so than fouling Marcus Rashford to gift them the opening goal.

But on Wednesday evening, the Frenchman looked much more solid as Liverpool had to beat Chelsea on penalties to secure the UEFA Super Cup.

His performance hasn’t gone unnoticed as a number of Chelsea supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One fan called him the ‘French Maldini’ whilst another added that he was ‘awesome’ and also one said he was his centre-back.

Others praised Zouma for his bounce-back ability and learning from his mistakes with one supporter saying he proved fans wrong who had doubted him after just one game.

The 6 foot 3 ace showed signs of why Everton were so desperate to keep him over the summer so Chelsea fans will be hoping he builds on that rather as the season progresses.

Here’s the best of the reaction:
