Pre-season, usually the time of year where youth players blossom and show the world how good they can be. The last pre-season it was the Callum Hudson-Odoi, and this pre-season there is a young Dutch star impressing fans.
Young Ian Maatsen came on as a second-half substitute during the club’s 1-1 draw against Irish Premier League side Bohemians.
After one fan had tweeted out a video of highlights from the left-back’s performances, fans couldn’t help but get excited about what the future holds for the 17-year-old.

Maatsen will take great heart from Hudson-Odoi’s performances in pre-season last summer. The England international was also 17-years-old at the time of his breakthrough last summer, after a stellar performance against Arsenal in August 2018.
