According to the Telegraph, central-midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has agreed to a new five-year deal with Chelsea, which will see the 23-year-old earn £150,000 a week.
Fans reacted with joy to the news, and after such a standout season for Loftus-Cheek, they have every right to do so.

Loftus-Cheek enjoyed a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge last year, scoring 10 goals in just 14 starts in all competitions, as Chelsea won the Europa League and finished third in the Premier League.
However, the England International’s season was cruelly cut short as he suffered a ruptured Achilles injury in a mid-season friend versus Major League Soccer side New England Revolution just weeks before the Europa League final against Arsenal.
