Willian seems to be like marmite, you either love him or you hate him. And it seems the majority of fans on Twitter hate the Brazil international.
Why there is so much hate for Willian is beggars belief. The 30-year-old scored eight goals and assisted a further 13 in all competitions last season as Chelsea won the Europa League and finished in the Premier League top four.
Last night Brazil overcame Peru to 3-1 to win the Copa America, the South American’s first major international trophy since 2007. The Chelsea man didn’t make it off the bench in the final due to a muscle injury, however, did make four appearances at the tournament scoring a solitary goal.
After Chelsea tweeted a congratulatory message to Willian, fans showed no mercy and plagued the post with messages begging the club to sell the winger.
