Olivier Giroud hasn’t done his best to endear himself to Arsenal fans, instead incurring their wrath after comments he made about the North London club and title challenges.
Giroud said that it was difficult to fight for titles at Arsenal and that expectations are ‘maybe’ higher at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “With Arsenal, it was difficult to fight for the title. We were always fighting for the Champions League places.”
“Chelsea is a club where you have maybe more expectations, higher expectations. They were winning more titles these past 10 years and obviously Arsenal wants to come back to the ‘Invincibles’ days, but it’s not easy.” (Source: BBC)
Arsenal fans didn’t respond well to Giroud’s comments, with one user reminding the France international how the club missed out on the title to Leicester City during the 2015/2016 season.

Giroud played for Arsenal during a five-and-a-half-year spell, which ended when he joined the Blues in January 2018.
Here is a selection of comments from Arsenal fans, less than pleased with Giroud following his comments:
Ozil would easily smashed the assist record that season as well.. but this donkey and all other forwards conspired ????

If we’d had Auba or Lacazette up front that season in front of Cazorla Özil And Sanchez we would of won the title at a jog
