According to reports in Italy, Chelsea have demanded €20m (£18m) for their defender Matt Miazga with Fiorentina interested. The news has left many Blues fans laughing at how much the Serie A club will have to pay for the 23-year-old.
Miazga is barely known to Chelsea fans having played just two senior games for the club since joining from New York Red Bulls in 2016. The United States international has been out on loan to Vitesse, Nantes and Reading over the past three seasons and hasn’t been part of either the Ireland or Japan squad this pre-season.
Some supporters took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the potential transfer with one fan saying they need to stack up money for when their transfer ban ends in a year’s time whilst another member of The Blues fanbase sarcastically said that Miazga was a great player for them in the hope Fiorentina see it and pay up.
Chelsea Chairman Roman Abramovich’s right-hand woman Marina Granovskaia has drawn plenty of plaudits if she pulls this move off too – she’s the woman who runs the club for Abramovich – with one fan claiming she deserves a stand named after her and another suggested a statue.
Here’s the best selection of tweets from the Chelsea faithful:

If she, and I don’t doubt her ability to do so can actually pull that off. She deserves a stand named after her.
