Christian Pulisic’s arrival in Japan has left many Chelsea supporters going crazy over the first images appearing of their new man. Pulisic joined the club officially back in January in a £58m transfer from Borussia Dortmund and will feature for his new club in the very near future.

The American international has cut short his holiday to join Frank Lampard’s side in Japan for their two pre-season friendlies this week. Earlier this month, he helped contribute towards the USA’s Gold Cup final run in which they ultimately lost to Mexico 1-0. Pulisic bagged three goals in six matches during the tournament.

Many fans were animated after the official Twitter account posted the first glimpses of their new signing in action – some replying asking him to be given the vacant number ten shirt which has been left behind by Eden Hazard.

Whilst a number of other supporters have already given him the nickname ‘Captain America’ after the Marvel character – but mainly because he’s one of the USA’s brightest young prospects. One fan even suggested that Lampard will make him one of the greats.

It is the first time in which Pulisic has even trained as a Chelsea player so understandably many at Stamford Bridge couldn’t contain their excitement.
