Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman has hardly been a mainstay during his time at the West London club having made only 23 appearances but that hasn’t stopped a number of supporters wishing he remained at the club – or not at the very least, not sold for such a low amount.

GhanaWeb report that the Ghanian international is set to join Ligue 1 side Marseille for around €5m (£4.5m). The 25-year-old has endured three loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, two of which in the Bundesliga with the same club, Schalke 04, and most recently with Stade de Reims where fellow league top-half side Marseille clearly liked what they saw of the left-back.

Rahman, who adorns the name Baba on the back of his shirt, joined Chelsea back in 2015 in a £21.7m move from Augsburg and it’s clear to see some fans wish to recuperate more than just a fraction of that ludicrous fee they paid. One fan emphasised it was an insult whilst another said they could easily get £15m-20m in today’s market.

Others stressed that Rahman was a much better player than their current first choice left-back Marcos Alonso which was backed up by one member of The Blues faithful claiming it is the Spaniard they should be looking to let go.

Here’s the best selection of tweets of Chelsea supporters surrounding Rahman’s potential departure:
