The delay in announcing Lampard has got everyone guessing as to why Chelsea haven’t announced their new manager. And Matt Law for the Telegraph reckons he knows exactly the reason for the delay.

Law took to Twitter to express his views that Chelsea didn’t announce Lampard as the agreement between Chelsea and Lampard was agreed too late to announce the 41-year-old yesterday evening.

He could be right
Another reason for the delay in Lampard’s announcement could be the blackout that was experienced across social media platforms yesterday.
Given Lampard was pictured leaving Stamford Bridge in the early hours of today, Law could be right in his assumption.
However, with all the problems on social media fixed an announcement should be forthcoming from Chelsea today.
