Chelsea and Arsenal both suffered different ends to last season, with on finishing in the top four and winning a trophy, and the other doing the opposite. So, just which of the two have the better squad?

Ex-Blues forward Tony Cascarino claims that new boss Frank Lampard has a squad with much more quality than Arsenal, and maybe should finish in the top four next season.
He said: “Frank’s got a better squad than Arsenal. He’s going to have to be expected to finish in front of Arsenal and you could argue get in the top four as well.”
“People are looking at it and saying maybe they won’t get that and they should sacrifice this season, but I don’t believe for one second Chelsea Football Club will do that.” (Source: talkSPORT)
A stretch too far, Tony
While we did swat aside Arsenal in a dominant display in Baku, it’s quite a stretch to claim we have ‘much more quality’ than Arsenal.
Chelsea conceded 56 goals in all competitions last season, as well as suffering some indifferent form away from home to some top teams.
Despite finishing in third place and winning the Europa League, you can’t say for certain that Chelsea have a better squad, as the failures of last season show that the opposite is true.
